On Monday, several of our BTEC Business students went on a study visit to Cadbury World in Birmingham, owned by chocolate company Cadbury.

The focus of the trip was for the students to learn about the marketing strategies of Cadbury, including the use of Cadbury World to create customer loyalty to the Cadbury brand.  The one hour educational talk also included international trade and its impact on Cadbury’s products and advertising.  Students learnt about brands and logos including subliminal messages of some brands.

They enjoyed a tour of Cadbury World with its emphasis on the development of chocolate and of the Cadbury brand, and its changing advertising over the past 100 years.  The trip finished with a fun 4D experience!

The BTEC study visits take students out of the classroom to give them a practical learning experience, and the opportunity to see how a real-life business operates. Previous trips have included Thorpe Park theme park.
