|"The guidance and tuition Billy received during his A2 year undoubtedly helped keep him positive and focused and gave him the confidence to continue."|
Students attending other schools and colleges are able to benefit from the expertise of Oxford Tutorial College’s tutors by enrolling for a series of individual tutorials at times that will fit in with their other commitments. Help is offered at many different levels, from Common Entrance and GCSE preparation, through A-level and near-equivalents such as
Pre-U, to University Admissions Tests and undergraduate modules.
Most students arrange to come to us for a number of weeks for an hour or more at a regular time during term to have additional teaching in a subject area or areas they have found challenging for some reason, or in which they need to achieve optimal marks for university entrance. Others come for a more intensive programme of tuition over a week or so; this is most commonly practicable during the autumn and winter half-term breaks.
Tuition is offered at all the above levels between the hours of 9.00 am and 6.00 pm, Monday to Friday, in all the subjects featured in the college prospectus and on the website. Preparation for the full range of admissions tests is also offered: UKCAT, HAT, MAT, LNAT, ELAT, BMAT and TSA; because of the timing of these tests, tuition is offered during the summer and also in the early part of the autumn term. Whatever the level, our experience, our flexibility and our commitment to an approach that is centred on your needs means that remarkable improvements can soon be made, difficulties resolved and confidence boosted significantly.
Applicants at any level should please complete the Supplementary Tuition Enrolment Form on the website to indicate their requirements and availability. Alternatively, please contact the college for specific advice to suit your needs.
Tuition is currently charged at £72 per hour and there is a £40 registration fee on first enrolment.
For those who live beyond a convenient commuting distance accommodation can be arranged with one of our carefully-selected host families. Please telephone the college to discuss your particular needs.
